Itinerary

Day 1Cusco (3350 M) – Km 82 Piskacucho (2600 M) – Wayllabamba (3100 M)

In the early morning we will pick you up in our private transport with our guide, then we will head towards the sacred valley, passing Urubamba, Ollantaytambo until you reach km. 82 (piskacucho) where we will meet our support staff, we will go through the control where we will start the walk towards Wayllabamba (3100 m.s.m.) approx. Place where we will have our first camp and overnight.

Day 2Wayllabamba (3100m) – Warmiwañusca (4200m) – Paqaymayu (3500m)

After taking a fortifying breakfast. This day we will start our hike to the highest point of Inca Trail. Warmiwañusca means “Dead woman” approx. (4200 m.s.m.) from this point we can appreciate a magnificent landscape. Lugo we will continue with our walk we will descend 2 more hours until we reach our camp “Pacaymayu” where we can have our lunch, in the afternoon free and overnight.

Day 3Pacaymayo (3500m) – Runkurakay (3800m) - Sayacmarca (3600m) – Phuyupatamarka (3600m) – Wiñay Wayna (2700m).

In the morning very early after having a good breakfast, today will be the longest day of our walk from the camp we will begin to ascend towards the ruins of “Runkurakay” approx. (3800m.m.m.m.) From this point we can appreciate the beautiful valley of Pacaymayo. During the walk we can appreciate the beauty of nature from this step we will begin to descend until we reach the archaeological center of SAYACMARCA approx. (3600 m.s.n.m.) This name means “Inaccessible City”.

Phuyupatamarca means “city of the clouds” in this place we are a stop to visit the impressive Ruin of PHUYUPATATMARCA we will begin to descend until we reach WIÑAYWAYNA aprox. (2700 m.s.)

This day the hike is the original Inca trail, we will pass through Inca tunnels between the jungle, we can observe different flora (especially varieties of orchids) and fauna (we can observe hummingbirds and other birds). Where we will have a guided tour of the impressive archaeological center once the guided tour is over. We will spend the last night in our camp in Wiñayhuayna which means “Forever Young”.

Day 4Wiñay Wayna (2700m) – Intipunku (2700m) – Machu Picchu (2400m) - Cusco.

Early in the morning after enjoying a delicious breakfast we can continue with our walk towards INTY PUNKU which means “The door of the Sun” to appreciate the first rays of the sun and to appreciate the majestic citadel of Machupicchula hike has approx. 3 hours to this point.

Then we will start with our guided tour in the archaeological center visiting main remains and monuments of Machupicchu for 2 hours (main square, circular tower, the sacred solar clock, the royal rooms, the temple of the 3 windows), then we will have free time to be able explore on your own the majestic Inca City. Then we will descend by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes where we can have a lunch (on our own) and finally board the train to Ollantaytambo where our transfer will be waiting for us to take the bus to Cusco.
