Choquequirao is located on the heights of the Salkantay mountain range, at 3040 meters above sea level. It was considered the last Inca refuge and natural fortress that the Spanish conquistadors remained for decades. The hike to choquequirao trek is the most wonderful adventure of Inca architecture.
